Daydreamin of Grenada...

Still sick, so the workout and diet plan are getting crushed beneath cold pills and hot tea(hooray for tea) but I'm not getting down on myself or letting this be the end of my journey. 


Working out while sick is no fun, but just read a really good article on Walking away the pounds....adding that into the workout immediately! 


ON a happier note, a customer and I had a long conversation about life, work and everything in between and have both decided to daydream of vacations. He just got back from Grenada and had some really good tea he brought back with him...mango with cinnamon and nutmeg-delicious... so for now I'm daydreaming of Grenada

Seriously...

So I'm sick.  Just freakin awesome.  And of course its not just a sniffle, scratchy throat cold-no no this is the body sore, no energy, cranky I don't wanna talk to any people AT ALL cold.

All adding up to a day off from work spent in my bed, drifting in and out of sleep with a heating pad on my back.  BLAH!  Fingers crossed I don't feel like this tomorrow....working 12-830 not a good look.....


Enough of my whining...back to Pinterest and SparkPeople

Steps to getting back on track PT. 1

So I've fallen off the wagon a bit when it comes to the healthy lifestyle/diet/new me in 2012.  So I've set up some steps to get myself back on track.


STEP ONE::::

Prepare for the week on Sunday(or Saturday, depending on my work schedule)

I started today. Got up went to the grocery store, came back home and got to work.

Blueberries rinsed off.  Grab a handful and throw em in yogurt, oatmeal and my new favorite

Golden Grahams.....with soy milk and some blueberries..

Then sliced up some strawberries, also great to grab on the go

Took a little web surfing, relaxing time


Then on to the heavy cooking

No butter
No creamy sauces
Very little salt
Aaaand tons of flavor 
Add it all together and what do u get


BAM!

Now all I have to do is toss some in a bowl and run outta the house
Best part theres less than 250 calories per serving in BOTH meals!!!!

Chocolate Mousse...MMMMM


Chocolate Mousse Frosting
(or just chocolate mousse)
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup plus 1 T cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • sweetener to taste (I used a little stevia, but any dry sweetener will do.)


Open the coconut milk, and leave the can (or transfer to a bowl) uncovered in the fridge overnight. (Don’t shake the can before opening.) It should get very, very thick. (If it doesn’t, you’ve gotten a bad can that won’t work for the recipe. I highly recommend Thai Kitchen, or especially Thai Kitchen Organic.) Once thick, transfer to a bowl (you can opt to leave out the watery bit at the bottom of the can, if you want it even thicker) and whip in your cocoa, vanilla, and sweetener with a fork, or even beaters if you want to be fancy. (For the photos on this page, I didn’t use beaters. But I did pipe the mousse out using an icing tip.) Stored uncovered in the fridge, the mixture gets even thicker.

So Mr. Calls me Skittle,

Extremely interesting and definitely happy he's in VA now instead of allllll the way south lol.  But he got me to thinking today...I've never been on a really good date(prior to last week), and never had a good V-day.  How lame is that, all the things I've done in former relationships and it doesn't feel very appreciated.  Now this is also speaking of people in the EX term so they arent getting the brightest light shined on em, but if you were a good guy i'm positive you wouldn't be an EX.

Ever have that F*ck it moment, thats how I'm feeling about dating.

Ahhhhhhhh Tired work rant

So unmotivated today....

Work was a killer, not busy but so slow, and this whole reduction in caffeine....*SAD FACE*  As soon as I walk in the Bou it hits me "I want a latte" but I resist and two hours later I could fall asleep at the bar, no questions asked...

Blah!!!!  So time to make some dietary decisions...Leave out the 1.5 mocha/latte/mycreations and be mentally convinced I'm so exhausted I wont be able to make it til 8...OR  have 1 and cut out something else...I mean if I have a small campfire mocha...and saaaay an apple instead of a large mocha....yea yea yea I'm convincing myself more to one side but heeeeey it is what it is.

Fridays on a Tuesday

First post but its an exciting one.

Went on date Numero Uno with Mr. Painter...awesomeness.

I had a LOT of fun, which after the last date I went on is a definite necessity.  We went to Fridays had a chill time, talked a bunch and our poor waitress....lol it took us like 40 minutes to order.
